I got this email this morning and by lunchtime had downloaded, filled in and posted an application for a Birth Cert. Now I'll wait and see if they keep their '3 weeks' promise.

Unfortunately, Cork City & County Archives is unable to provide a genealogical research service. Please note that Civil Birth, Marriage and Death records are available via the General Register Office www(.)groireland(.)ie, Dublin. Other sources, including the 1901 and 1911 Census are available in Cork City Library www(.)corkcitylibrary(.)ie and Cork County Library www(.)corkcoco.ie. The National Archives of Ireland also has a list of genealogical researchers www(.)nationalarchives(.)ie. Local church records are mainly to be found with local parishes and also in the National Library of Ireland www(.)nli(.)ie) and in the Church of Ireland Representative Church Body Library, Dublin http://ireland(.)anglican(.)org/library/index(.)html Also, a list of names, addresses and occupations for Cork City in 1845 is available on our web site at : http://www(.)corkcity(.)ie/ourservices/rac/archives/holdings/lists/ Remove ()
