	Hi Mandy It has come up before about this site,caused a few to trawl around certain areas of the country thinking they had a very strong link to an area,when in truth they weren't Glen

	Problem with this site is it is misleading. If a rural area had 500 occupants and five families have one surname the figures are distorted,the percentage looks far higher than it may really be. Glen

Interesting to compare which counties surnames were concentrated in in 1881 and 1998. Also might give a hint for another possible county to search for missing rellies in. A lot of one of my odd surnames showed up in Scotland, its not a scottish sounding name, i wouldn't have thought of looking there!
