Problem with this site is it is misleading. If a rural area had 500 occupants and five families have one surname the figures are distorted,the percentage looks far higher than it may really be. Glen |

Interesting to compare which counties surnames were concentrated in in 1881 and 1998. Also might give a hint for another possible county to search for missing rellies in. A lot of one of my odd surnames showed up in Scotland, its not a scottish sounding name, i wouldn't have thought of looking there! |
