Yes thats him. He died 1860, so I was hoping to get him on the '41 census, but its impossible. He's being hunted by about 5 people on GR!

Doh, lol. Bang goes my Bucks theory.

GlitterBaby

GlitterBaby Report 9 Aug 2006 13:31

Brackley registration district - mainly in Northamptonshire but included parts of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire - so shows all 3. If you can find the entry on FreeBMD then you can view the details of the registration districts. Maureen

Not sure how to explain this...on Ancestry, I have a list of the Jeremiah Markhams who died in the 1860s. I know which one is 'my' Jeremiah for certain. Next to his name it says Oxfordshire Bucks Northants I know he was BORN and MARRIED in Oxfordshire, DIED in Northants...so I presumed he lived in Bucks at some point...although he isnt on the '41 census there. Is there any way of finding out WHY it says Bucks next to his name? He was born c1779, married 1801, and died 1860. Its possible he married for a 2nd time, but this would have been pre-1837.
