Val wish I'd never started Report 9 Aug 2006 12:50

I am wondering if she was Esther and not Susan I have found a Esther married to a Abraham Rase mistranscribed with a child Hyam David who was his eldest son maybe she decided to call herself Susan for some reason. Thanks a lot for all your help much appreciated, isnt it quiet on the boards at the moment .

Only one problem is that Flora seems to be a possible connection but she is still with the family in the 1871 census and your Susan is married by then. Mhairi

Mhairi Report 9 Aug 2006 12:23

There is a couple of Coleman Joels on census and if you dont think Susan could be her real name. Do you know what her fathers occupation was. Maybe try households with Coleman in them.. Only a suggestion. Mhairi
