Karen, I think it is something to do with immigration visas. I believe F2 visa holders are family members or spouse of an F1 visa holder, if that makes sense, but as Valerie pointed out there's bound to be someone on today that will explain it better. Ann

I actually did a google last night and it seems it does stand for immigration in some countries 0 Evidence (29/09/2003) Immigration Act 1987 s 13B(3)(e) See F2.20 Effective 28/11/2005 See F2.20 Effective 04/07/2005 See F2 Effective 01/10/2001 Evidence supporting an application under Partnership policy for New Zealand residence should include as much information and as many documents as are necessary to show that: the principal applicant's* partner*: is a New Zealand citizen or resident* (see F2.10.5), and supports

hi ann, and valerie, thank you so much for the help and info you was able to give me, on georges census returns, he is down as being born in glasgow scotland, i hadnt even thought of googling sorry usually do, but thought it was maybe something the registrar sometimes put on certain certs, i really cant say thank you enough, that must mean his dad george, must also have been an immigrant, to be honest i hadnt even realised you needed a visa from scotland, so will be checking to see what info, i can get from this lead, thank you so much, best wishes, karen :)

thanks for nudge valerie, sorry all have got an dental abcess, and have been in agony, as it has gone into the nerves of the face, so dentist says, hi kate, george was born (on censuses)in glasgow scotland in 1835, and married manchester on the 5th dec 1858, but then moved to london, and spent the rest of his life there,am wondering if i had a not thinking moment, and you didnt need visa`s, between england and scotland, and that really he is from another country totally, sorry if not back as quick as i would normally be, but am using rare pain free moments, to come on here( when my pain killers are at their best) thanks a lot, karen

Old Crone Holden might be able to help as I think that it may have something to do with a correction being made and it was the second correction in that register that it refers to. Old Crone - where are you?

Kate

Kate Report 10 Aug 2006 23:23

If there is a correction on the certificate, then there should be a number in brackets after the correction, and then in the margin on the right hand side of the certificate, there should be that number written as a word, and the initials of the registrar who corrected it. For example, I have one where the date is crossed out and replaced with the correct date - next to it there is a (16) and in the margin at the end it says 'Sixteen FWC'. Kate.

hi kate, and pippa, its just got george aspinall and f 2, and his bride elizth lawton, i cant see any numbers in brackets or anything out of the ordinary, it was by banns in church, and says cher fenton officiatery/officiatry minister, and the f 2, looks like the same hand writting as the rest, it looks like a real mystery! best wishes, karen
