Who votes Snowdrops to do the cemetary A-Z,while i slog away at the archives and records thread? I agree it's a worthwhile addition, but might need more than 1 person to help compile it. Glen

Hi Glen I think the A - Z of cemetries etc is spot on - you also include in the statistics those that are online/give free information/charge for look ups/supply maps. Snowdrops

Hi Glen You know how you have compiled a list of the Register Office and what service they offer.. What about doing a records Office thread and what services we could offer to other people.. Eg I'm in Durham.. Visit Durham records office every two weeks or so..along with the details of Durham.. their opening hours etc.. underneath contact Mayoress of Middleham on Records Office Board or something to that effect.. as I bet quite a few other who visit different records offices.. would'nt mind doing lookups.. I know that their service is £25 per hour.. inc Photocopies.. Mo When you start the thread put in 26 nudges of a-z..

County Records Offices, mmmmmmmm.Sort of ties in well with the Register Office Threads. Might prove worthwhile, not that i'm discounting the cemetaries, bit the records offices sounds a good idea. Glen

Hi Glen How about record offices that offer a research service........As most of us have family from one end of the country to the other it's not always possible to get to the ones you need.. I could start by adding Lambeth record office and local studies library.........£18 ph Hampshire record office........£23 ph Not cheap!!! Sorry..don't know the addresses off the top of my head Deb
