Angela, My father remarried after my mother died. The 2 families did not get on, and in no way would I include these on my tree. When my father tried to write his family history as he knew it, he made no reference to his second marriage. So it's down to how you feel aout the 2nd marriage Anne |

ive decided to add them to my family tree maker (just in case when i get marriage certs etc they may be on them like someone suggested so ill know who they were) but not on here (ill only get more confused when the hotmatches arrive lol) I am truly interested in Wlaters brothers n sisters but havnt found 1 Binch decendent (the only ones I know are the 8 that Cecil Binch had who was my grandad and Walters great grandson) but none that came from Alonzo Binch or Walter Binch if ya get what I mean. Luv Angie xxxxxxxx |

Angela, whether you add them to your tree on your own computer entirely depends on whether you want them on there! As for your tree on GR, I would say it depends on whether or not you want to get in contact with their descendants. If you do, then add them, if you don't, then don't. I think I have put some such people onto my tree and some I have left off, depending on how interested I was in that branch of the family and whether I thought that I might be able to swop useful information with the step-siblings' descendants. Kate. |

Angela When Eli married Sarah mk2, in 1849, she was 47/48 years old.........they didn't have children together, so there are no half-siblings for ?Walter?....only step-siblings. Adding them might cause more complications!!!!! Reg |

Iy's up to you of course, but I would add them to my tree. I had the same situation in mine. Found out later on that these half siblings were close and ended up being witnesses at weddings! Even ended up living with one another for a short time too, so I found on the census records. They considered themselves 'family' so I thought I should record them too. Regards.... Teresa |

Angela have I read you correctly?? These people are the children of your 3xGrandfather's Step Mother.... so are no blood relation at all and do not share either parent with your 3xGrandfather?? If thats the case then I wouldnt worry too much about adding them as they are not related at all are they. Shaz |

It depends what your purpose is in doing your tree and how complete you want it to be. Even if you're sticking to only recording people directly related to you, these people are your half-ancestors so you perhaps ought to record them. J |
