Could wft est. stand for World Family Tree estimate. I believe that if you submit info to the World Family Tree and don´t put dates in, then an estimate is given. Someone will no doubt correct me if I am wrong !!

WFT does indeed stand for World Family Tree. Any details or information taken from websites needs to be treated with caution, you do need to VERIFY any such information as what you see is what another person has submitted, it may be a load of hogwash. Some 'researchers' think, right name, right time, right place that must be them and grab that info and treat it as gospel, it's not. Ron www.genealogyprinters*com

I found my grandmother on world family tree when I first started with details going back several generations. I felt a bit cheated like buying a paper with the crossword already done. The information was pretty accurate but it turned out it had been supplied by someone researching the history of the somereset coalfield rather than a family member. Her father and lots of other relations were coalminers. Have you tried searching rootsweb. In my case the tree was on there as well with the submitter's E. mail and I managed to contact him and correct a few minor details.
