I ticked the box that said I didn't need e-mail warnings of hotmatches, and mine have now stalled. No new ones at all for months. Christine

After looking through several pages of JOHN JONES quite a few times I thought enough was enough ... but I wanted to still receive my Hotmail Matches .......... so I changed John's name to John J*O*N*E*S. I works for me. Annette

Yes PP I do - nothing ventured nothing gained. I found a great aunty that nobody knew existed - she did die as a tiny baby same quarter as she was born in bless her, but we all learn new things every day! R x

Heather, just think yourself lucky you have got as far as the 'J's! Mine still haven't got past the 'D's (nearly all John Dawsons this time)! Kate.

I'm as irritated by Hot Matches as the next person but I did pick up on one recently and I am now seeing photos of a half sister that I had very little contact with (she is now deceased) I am in touch with her grand daughter - it's fabulous! Cheers, Horatia

I wouldn't mind 20 pages for one name, if they had the same place of birth as mine. I received 17 lines with my name on and not one was born in Leicester, England as I have keyed, in fact 11 weren't even born in this country. I could rip a tissue !!!!

Matthew

Matthew Report 8 Aug 2006 09:47

I made the beginners mistake of lising a member of my tree as 'unknown'. Oops! I received so many 'matches' on that one. Matt

I wasn't intending to stop the Hotmatches - I just reckoned I visited GR often enough not to need an e-mail about them. Christine
