Lynda I have checked the GRO images until the end of 1840. Doesnt look like she was registered. Did she have any younger brothers or sisters? If so, try looking for their birth certs

is she shown as Rosena in 1841 census - in Notts Jim

Many thanks. I know her christening reg does'nt say her mothers maiden name, so will have to think of something else to get selinas name

I have found her fathers birth on the lds site, so I don't think there are any probs there, but I can't even find her birth on free bmd

Lynda The St Mary's records on the IGI only go up to 1826. You will have to search the parish registers in Nottingham to find her baptism. If her birth was registered, it wasnt compulsary intil 1875, you will find her on the GRO indexes.

have you looked on Freebmd and Ancestry. Ita always poss of course she wasn't registered cos it wasnt compulsory till 1875 UPDATE she isnt showing on Ancestry for 1848 or 1849 so suggests she wasnt registered. More likley to have been christened tho so you need Parish records

Lynda The IGI is only a finding aid. All parishes arent listed. Many of the parishes refused permission for the LDS to film their records.

On the 1841 census, Rosina Moore is aged? 2. Try as I might I cannot find the igi numbers for her birth. I want to order a birth cert and find out her Mothers, Selina, maiden name. Rosina was born in St Marys Nottingham to Selina and George Moore. I have looked on the lds site, and hugh wallis, but I cannot see her birth
