rellies ,a very clever chap called Walter Albert Tudsbury is responsible for this particular creation- a snow sculpture of a lion- in 1909- if you go to pictures of past site- enter the words animal models and edwinstowe for the village name, you should see it.........what grieves me is that the local expert hasnt put his full name on there,I suspect she doesnt know, and that they are charging £5 for a print (6x4)........who knows you may find something connected to one of your family on there.

This is a wonderful site. There's a picture of the house I used to live in on it. And the railings I used to swing on, outside a pub I had to walk past on my way home from school. Now I know why my mother yelled at me not to - 6' drop on one side! The photo-ark website is good too. That one has a picture of my Uncle Alf driving a tractor at a poultry farm he worked at. http://www(.)photo-ark(.)co.uk/

Another good one. No relevance to me but I know someone from Derbyshire who will be delighted.

Thank you ... :-) Sorry for the delay, I was distracted by Robin Hood in there. I love the Francis Friths 'living memories' and 'photographic memories' books, too.
