Maggie Just so you don't get in an awful tangle later on, you need to decide which is your 'master' tree. I'd pick the FTM one, it's so much easier to add to and modify. You can then pick what info you want to go on your GR tree and upload it as a GEDCOM. I've found it a good idea to save a copy of my FTM tree as surname plus date before making major changes, and every so often as a backup in case it gets corrupted. J

I,ve merged my Genes tree onto Family Maker 2006, which is wonderful, but silly me I've been adding to the Genes Tree expecting the names to go automatically onto Family Maker. How do I put all these extra ones on, without doing them individually? I,ve seen the answer to this but can't find the thread. Many thanks Maggie
