Yes. I was delighted to find an ancestor named as the victim of a street mugging which confirmed to me that he had already arrived in this country by that date. |

Had another look at this site ( www.oldbaileyonline.org) The people search brings up names not only of defendants, but also of jurors, victims, witnesses - in fact anyone mentioned in the trial. You then get the transcript of the trial. You can include a time span in your search. You can also search by place Its all free as well Joan |

It's a brilliant site isn't it? There's a lot iof useful and interesting background info and my gggg grandmother's brother Joseph Blumson's trial is on there - he was transported for stealing a shawl. |
