..... in the list of surnames when you carry out a name search specifically for the people of that surname living in Australia. I have entered 'Australia' in the country box. Many thanks. Janet |

Are these names from your tree? Living in Australia or born in Australia? Often the name search won't always show if the tree details are different.(Lincoln compared to Lincolnshire will produce different results) Glen |

Glen, We have our Australian relations with us for a few days and I printed out all the people with their surname living in Australia, but they weren't on it, even though they are in my tree as living in Australia (also born in Australia). There is another area box to click on (the State) but plain Melbourne isn't on it so I couldn't. J |

A lot is to do with how the place of birth is entered, there are a few ways it can be done just via the GR tree builder, then there are also the Gedcoms from such as FTM or Family Historian, which can be different again and GR won't read the country properly.(or country is left blank) Don't really know what to suggest, there are also probs with GR trees at the moment, not certain if they are affecting the name search though. Thanks Glen. Only wanted them to see themselves included in the list but not vital. I'll have a fiddle with the entries. (Don't know anything about Gedcom, uploading, downloading or anything technical like that. All I've got is one tree on Genes Reunited. If anything happens to it I'll have to start again). Can you print it out as an entire document or do you have to print each family separately? |

Janet I'm also inAustralia and tried to find others. The problem was some were in Brisbane, some in Perth, etc. It seemed to be only those who said Australia only came up. Maybe it was just my dodgy way of entering them as well. |
