Thanks Christine, I think that's the only option I have left now, isn't it? Georgina, I saw that one, but thought it couldn't be him as his name was William Ernest. But I wonder..... Thanks girls |

I have been looking for a birth of my gt grandfather for some time now, and just cannot get anywhere. I'm obviously lookingin the wrong place or something, His name is William Ernest Merrick. On the 1901 census it says that he is 9 and born in Birmingham. So I have looked at years 1892 and a couple of years either side. I have looked at all the William Merrick's on freebmd, but none of them are him. I would be really grateful for any pointers in the right direction. I've just got to sort the kids out so it might be some time before I make it back Mandy X |
