I have found 2 documents which I would like to access on A2A but (silly me!!), I can't see how to order them. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Dea x

Dea You cannot order any documents from the A2A site directly - it is merely a finding aid. At the top of the page where you have found your interesting document, it will say something like 'This document is the property of Lancashire Records Office'. You need to get in touch with them in order to get a copy of the doc. If this doesnt make sense, tell me what you are looking at and I will see if I can help. OC

Thanks OC, It did seem t take me to Cheshire but I couldn't seem to find a way to order it there either. Don't worry, I think I am beyond help. - I will work it out at a later stage. Many thanks, Dea x

Dea They dont make it easy for you, do they - you will have to suss out the address yourself - or, if you can find an email addy, that's often the quickest way to order. OC

Dea A2A just tells you where documents are. It doesn't mean you can order them - often they are in big bound books which would be damaged by photocopying. But it does tell you where they are kept so you can contact the archive and ask if they can give you a copy or not. nell
