hiya, just a matter of perservering, cannot find him at all though on 1881, well i did find one, but he was a lodger, and a student, but didnt seem right. had look for marriage, and not found anything there either, so it will be trawling, ancestrys bmd's quart by quart, but i would suggest getting one of his kiddies b.certs, to give you MMN, which will hopefully shorten searching for marriage. I have always assumed that my ggg uncle Robert Large (1860 Barrington, Glos) had died after the 1871 census as he just seems to have vanished completly after that point, but this morning I received the marriage certificate for my gg grandparents - his sister, and he is named as a witness! He appears on 1861 and 1871 with his parents John and Sarah, but not again after that point. The marriage in question took place in April 1891 in West Kington, Wiltshire.
