Carole The only instances I have of 2 places at once are in 1841 when I have gt gt gt grandmother and her children at home with her husband and also listed with same children with her parents in another village altogether. I can only assume that she was visiting her parents but her husband/enumerator assumed she should be listed under her usual address. 1871 I have a gt grandfather on a fishing vessel off Yarmouth but also listed at home with with his wife and sons. |

First of all, are the 1891 occupations the same for both families? If so, its possible they've been enumerated twice. Second, without the marriage cert you can't KNOW if Annie Ible was married to Isaac - though the granddaughter with surname Kay looks likely. Maybe there are two Isaac Kays (perhaps cousins) who both married an Annie. This is perfectly possible, especially if the Isaacs shared a common ancestor they were named after. nell |

Losing your mind is just part and parcel of family history, sorry! 1891 census Joseph Bailey 16 Edward Glover 25 Annie Kay 26 Isaac Kay 26 Sarah A Kay 3 Isaac Percival 1 (this should be kay) 1891 census Annie Kay 22 Isaac Kay 27 Jack Kay 1 -isaac Sarah Kay 3 whats got me flummoxed is from other threads you helped me with it seems ANNIE KAY C1867 was ANNIE IBLE but on 1901 census annie ible living with parents william and hannah AND MARY ELLEN KAYc 1893 as grandaughter. this would make mary ellen annies daughter but in 1901 annie kay is noted on census as living elsewhere with jack/isaac and sarah her other 2 kids. |
