Sorry to digress, but fascinated with the placename Twizell. There's a village in South Island NZ called Twizel, so I guess the original inhabitants may have come from Northumberland. J

after all the help ive recieved on here i feel terrible asking for more...but here i go again. on the 1881 census i found a relation mary a saite, she is down as married to andrew saite but im having trouble finding them after this date. mary a kay c1858 andrew saite c 1858 she is the sister of my 3x gt grandad. i thought as it was an unusual surname they would be easier to trace but theres very few, even tried different spellings. they were cheshire area. also, off the subject but as an occupation for a couple of my ancesters it says ''fisherman emi'' does anyone know what this was? cheers again carolexx
