Statutory Registers » Births 1855-1905 » Marriages 1855-1930 » Deaths 1855-1955 Old Parish Registers » Births & Baptisms 1553-1854 » Banns & Marriages 1553-1854 These are on ScotlandsPeople website but it is a pay per view. Do a search - then one credit to view list and then 5 credits to view each image. Old Parish Registers - there are not always image to view but can be ordered. Units can be bought in multiples of £6 for 30 units Maureen

The cost per image is good. Be careful with the searches - really think about date ranges - as this is where you can spend a lot of money. Maureen

If the BMD took place before 1880 check to see if it is on the family search site first then you can view the certificate on scotlands people, I have saved quite a bit of money by finding an entry on the IGI first. Georgina.

Glen In Tinsel Knickers Report 5 Aug 2006 12:27

If you go to the Scottish GRO website,it will tell you how to obtain the certs for events after the dates in the first post. There are no online bmd index after dates quoted, i'll add the url in a mo. http://www.gro-scotland*gov*uk/ replace the * with the usual dots. Glen
