Suspect they may be submissions on specified surnames, made by an individual researcher, possibly extracted from the Phillimore volumes of Norfolk marriages. Phillimore is still going strong as a publishing company - they have a website, but can't see any ref to them selling 'pedigree forms/files/sheets' or a book on the Elmer pedigree. Do let us know when you find out - as there may be similar for other Norfolk names. Jay

Hi OC Let's just hope i get a better reply from them than my last attempt. I can't say exactly why,but every time i try to contact the Norfolk RO,i just seem to get a standard reply explaining how to obtain a readers ticket etc,perhaps they think i want everything hand delivered to my door for free..I just can't get an answer to a question from them,shame i'm not local to them. I'm kinda stuck with my Norfolk lines at the moment,with deaths between the 41 and 51 census,unknown places of marriage and unknown maiden names things look very untidy. Glen

Glen Why dont you email the NRO and ask them what info is likely to be on there? I have done this, with some success, with Lancs RO - managed to ascertain (for free) that several Bastardy Orders contained no more information than that given in the description of the documents, and saved myself £10.50! OC

As OC says,the documents are pedigree forms (whatever they may be) c & p from the website,just wondered what the records might be, Norfolk Record Office Repository Norfolk Record Office Title Phillimore's Pedigree Forms with details of Blundeville, Cross, Diggons, Elmer , Kett, Campling, Pleasance, Davy, Procter, Gourney, Inglos, Riches, Revell, Rivett, Stone, Womack and related families. Date nd Extent 1 bundle Catalogue_Reference MC 44/112, 500X5 AccessStatus Open Thinking about it there are at least two Elmer/Davy marriages in my tree,and the Davy name also appears in the list. I wouldn't have thought that my lot would be included but almost without exception they do make it into Whites Directories,the families tended to be employers rather than employees. Shame the documents are not online,wonder how much there is to see and how much the copies (if available)would cost? Glen

Um - I think Glen is asking what Philimores PEDIGREE forms are - I don't know, but might they be family groups??? OC

info from the ArchiveCDBooks site: Phillimores produced a series of volumes for many counties of England, and the books were published starting in the 1890s. In some counties the coverage of parishes is very good, in other counties, just a few parishes were transcribed. (Most counties do not have every parish transcribed). The county sets vary from just a few books up to around 30 volumes. The Norfolk volumes comprise 12 books for example. They have CDs of pdf copies of these. Christine

Glen It says on google that it's the marriage indexes for 73 parishes in Derbyshire so might be something similar for Norfolk? . Debby

Found on the Norfolk Online Access to Heritage website Phillimores pedigree family forms,detailing several families including the Elmer family. Has anyone any idea what these might be,not sure if my Elmer family are included or not,but just curious. Thanks Glen
