hello I have just got in contact with a distant cousin and it just so happens she has done a branch of the tree I havent researched yet. Can I link them? Or do I have to go through the painful task of writing everything down!!! thanks |

I would stongly suggest that you check all the info before merging into your tree. It is very easy for some-one to make a mistake. Oops just realised what you meant, depending on your family tree programme, most allow you to merge trees from gedcom files, but I still stand by the above on checking. Keith |

You can link trees via a more sophisticated programme such as family tree maker but not genes. |
