Thanks all. Yes, Corfe was what I first thought too - but British Subject in brackets alongside gave the game away!! And I should have known to google! Duh. Thanks Christine for that and for the help with FTM. It really IS much appreciated. And Angela - you are most welcome. Victoria Thanks 'Annie Ag Lab' - in my excitement I missed your name!! Googled - and found a site that lists heaps of births, deaths and marriages - but NOT mine! Oh well, it made for interesting reading anyway. Thanks again, Victoria |

Christine Thanks for that - I had wondered this in the past when typing in addresses that sounded familiar. Victoria Sorry for butting in - thanks for asking the question! Angela |

Victoria, Firstly, try googling 'Corfu History' - and you'll find that the island was in British hands in 1850. Secondly, FTM has an 'index' tab (it's the first one, the card file symbol) at the top where you can view a list and select and ancestor. However, I often view family groups by making a descendant tree on the screen - you do this by clicking on the middle chart icon. Hope this helps. Regs Annie |

Try going into Edit Then 'Find and Replace' Type in Corfu and hopefully his name should appear in the grey section. |

Are you sure it isnt Corfe, as in Corfe Castle? I have rellies, who according to the census, were born on Mars! (Turned out to be Manchester, how disappointing) OC |

Does it say Corfu or could it be Corfe in Dorset? Jack |

A few days ago I found a rellie born in Corfu. Couldn't believe it. What would an Ag Lab from deepest, darkest Wiltshire (with wife in tow) be doing in Corfu in the 1850s? Now, having put that on FTM, I can't remember who it was - so the second question is - is there any way of searching the data I have put in there? Ta muchly Victoria |
