I found the Anglo-German Family History Society extremely rude. Their response to a polite and simple question was that if I wanted an answer I should sign up and pay membership. Not my idea of customer-friendly. |

If you put GERMAN in the thread search box, you'l find other threads on teh topic which may have useful info for you when you move onto other areas. Christine |

I have an old birth certificate in 'Old german' but would like to know where to go to search for names of people who left Germany in the 1800's. |
