I wondered that,the other Hay in the house is his son. 1881 Alexander was a railway Clerk,by 1891 a Station Master at Dereham.But 1901?Seems a downturn somewhere along the line,and his family are all still on Norfolk. Glen |

It definitely says --- Foreman. First letter could be a C, so maybe Carriage Foreman, since the younger Hay there is listed as a Railway Checker. If they were father and son they may have worked together? |
