thanks.(I can't find my print out) I ordered 5 on the 18th July for despatch date of the 25th. Have put a ref check on each one (I was hoping that 1 of em might be correct) Just got my bank statement and have been refunded £7 for each of the 5. So am I correct in that i'm going to get no cert. and they have just charged me the £3 each. I have still not got out in the post. catherine xx It's all the same person, I put their parents down etc.

£7 with ref and no checking point more without the ref or with ckeck point (think it's £10) Glen

If it is a birth or death it might be better to try for the local RO for the event. Still only £7 even if they check the parentage for you,but they could only check maybe +/- 1 year of the date you suspect. With a marriage you have to try and help the local office with a place of marriage,especially for the offices which have lots of parishes to cover. Glen

Its usually £7 even if you fill in the check point at the end of the application on line. I've quite often asked for one and never paid more than £7. They will still let you know even if there is no certificate meeting your criteria. Anne
