*Bump* for people who weren't awake after midnight last night...

Hi Georgina, Thanks for the interest, but the William Caldwell Stewart I'm looking for has a daughter, Agnes, born in 1871, so I *really* doubt it's the one you have found! Having checked, he's listed on Agnes's Marriage certificate as William Caldwell Stewart and on her Birth certificate simply as William Stewart (which is where the marriage date is)... Maybe I'll have some fresh thoughts in the morning... cheers! Gordon

Gordon are you sure of your dates? If this is your William Caldwell Stewart he wasn't born until 1859... WILLIAM CALDWELL STEWART Male Event(s): Birth: 21 FEB 1859 Beith, Ayr, Scotland Christening: Death: Burial: Parents: Father: WILLIAM STEWART Mother: JANET MAGUIRE Georgina.

The two marriages I have details of are: William Caldwell STEWART - Janet SPIERS Dalry, Ayr 25/11/1864 Richard MALLOY - Mary WATSON Calton, Glasgow 16/11/1858 Now I've tried the alternate spellings I can think of; extended the date ranges; searched 'all districts', but I get zero matches. Does anyone know if some records are missing? Can anyone think of other possible avenues of approach? cheers! Gordon

I've found the dates and places of a number of my ancestor's marriages from Scottish birth records, but two of them appear to be missing from the database at Scotland's People... Is this a common problem? Details follow...
