Yes, my great-uncle's, May 1918. It told me nothing that I didn't know, but it is still nice to have it. Joy

I ordered one while at the Family Records Centre. My one was for a Nat Serv Solider killed in Cyprus in 1957, it took 1 week and the cause of death was fractured skull due to a road accident - although the family were told at the time he drove over a land mine. Jeanne

I'm fine thanks, you? got the mesage from pat that she thought it was the right family, because some of the chidren (as in John's uncles) married in Chester, so she thinks that the family moved from Disley to Chester and then onto Shropshire. Also, the reason that the removal order happened when it did is probably bacuse they hadn't needed support from the parish before, and didn't leave because they managed to 'get through' the difficult times.

Just the same as a normal death from the time (same format) but the cause of death on the one I have is: 'killed in action'

I have the GRO ref's for some rellies that died in WW1 and I am thinking about ordering the certs but I am not sure what info they hold...Has anyone ordered any before? Deb
