How do you enter inter-marriages on your tree?

I have, on my husbands tree, someone named Joseph. His parents, siblings, etc, are branched off from him. But Ive just discovered that he married his cousin; and her family are already on the tree obviously, as they're also my husbands family. So how do I link him in? I hope someone understands this, as I havent explained it too well! If I enter 'partners details' for his cousin, he'll be on the tree twice. |

I dont think you can interlink them on genes, thats one of the failings of the programme, all you can do is to add them as spouse and put a note in the notes section. I have this with paternal grt gran whos second and third hubbys were not only brothers BUT her cousins too |

Many of the home computer genealogy programs (e.g. Family Tree Maker) can cope with cousins marrying, as well as other obscure but legal relationships. If you then produce a GEDCOM file and upload it to GR the tree will be OK. It's just that the GR tree-builder can't do it. J |
