I've found some brilliant info on the one world trees and made quite a good nuber of contacts, although on the otehr side of the family the info has been questionable. Info is only as good as the researcher I guess.

Hi I looked at One World Tree and found some of my ancestors listed there.. The persons who had submitted them obviously hadn't checked their sources There was a marriage for a lady who had lived from 1879- 1970 in Canada , to my GT GT Gt Grandfather in July 1759 in the Channel Islands They had a family as well. A word of warning. Be very cautious of other people's information until you can confirm the source. Many people with trees published on OneWorldTree are LDS church members, for whom a proven tree back into antiquity is a big bonus. Sometimes the linkages are a bit impausible. I was given data on a family apparently linked to mine and I haven't been able to connect it conclusively to my tree. Doesn't help that the connecting date is in the 1780s. J

Kate if you click on the name of the person you are interested in on the next screen on the right hand side it says 'contact Ancestry members interested in this person'. Underneath it also says 'contact people who submitted this info' Georgina.
