I seem to recall that I could previously put in town or district on a search on Ancestry - am I going mad (or even more so!) as I can only see the box appear for Country, and County - thanks Gill |

the only way now i think is to actually search the individual census, ie if your looking for someone in 1891, goto 1891 cen and search by county in that way, is a blimmin pain not being able to search normally, julie |

thanks Julie, think I just worked that one out actually!!!!! I agree not too impressed with this newer version, still can't get used to having everything just floating around the the shoe box either! Atleast with the other My Ancestry peops. I'm looking for you could attach a record you were fairly certain about to the same person later fiilng will take ages wont it? Thanks for reply as you say pain the the **** having to do year by year, I liked doing a search the old way and often you could relate family bythe similar census results but I suppose we'll get used to it.. have nice eve... Use the county button AND put the town as a keyword. |
