Help with Generations Grand Suite - Please

I have a huge gedcom file which I have imported into Generations. I now want to extract all of the people actually related to me and import this info into my own tree. I can do this by marking the relevant people. However the closest I can get to this is by mark groups > relationships. But this does not mark any spouses of relatives. There are a lot of them and I really don't fancy doing this manually if there is a simple way. Any help would be gratefully received. Rob

You can certainly do this in PAF from LDS - there is a built in ancestors filter that can include or exclude spouses, and as many generations of the ancestors descendants as you want to include. Given that PAF is free, I'd try downloading it, importing your GEDCOM, exporting a subset, and then testing it in PAF to check that you really have what you want, before importing the final GEDCOM into your tree.

Robert I have Generations too. I have used it for years. I think you have to do the spouses manually. I can't think of another way. Do you think it's such a good idea to merge data sent by others without checking it? It's just something I never do. I always check everything that is possible to check and enter the data myself. I like to enter all BMD index numbers and where everyone is on each census. A lot of people who have sent me data are not as thorough. That is my preference, but you must do it your own way.
