Ann, North Petherton is throwing a spanner in the works, I think. I have now found Robert, Mary, kids and Hannah Widow in Oakwood, Lyng. HO107/1924 Image #2 Page 378. Is there any chance that the widow Hannah belongs to Mary Ann and not Robert, you know how we can get carried away with dittos! Kristeen

Look up John Warner b1773 - there's a man of that name and birthdate living in the same town, shown as a widower but living with his 'servant' Elizabeth Eviens (though I read the name as 'Coniers') It looks to me as though this Elizabeth was John's temporary bit on the side. The reference is North Petherton> district 6c> p11

My Gtx3 Grandmother Hannah Jennings married my Gtx3 Grandfather John Warner in 1809 In the 1851 I have my Gtx3 Grandmother Hannah Warner living with her son Robert Warner, his wife Mary Ann and their 2 children in N Petherton, she is 61 and it states she is a widow. In the 1861 I have Gtx3 Grandmother Hannah (mother) AND Gt x3 grandfather John (father) living with their son John Warner (head) and his 2 children And John's birth date is correct 1773. I am confused How could she have been a widow in 1851 Ann Glos
