They cashed my cheque on 15th June. I just phoned & a recorded message told me that for all cheques cashed after 9th June the request will not yet have been dealt with and all copies of Wills could expect at least 7 weeks wait !! ........ I've tried to be patient, I really, really have !!! arghhhh......... Sarah :-b

At least it's not as long as my 10 month wait for my father-in-law's army records!!! Patience is a virtue, LOL. Kath. x

Someone must have bought them an extra wire tray.......... They already have six, marked ''Week 1'' to ''Week 6''.....the applications are placed in the first basket on receipt, and are moved along the row of trays each Monday morning. When they reached the end of the line someone deals with the request..... Now they have added the smart new ''Week 7'' tray and will be saving up for the ''Week 8'' tray as we speak! Merry

York Probate are also dealing with all the Miners Claims at the moment as well.. They are providing the goverment with the Miners Employment History.. This is the cause of the delay.. (A couple of months back I had to phone them when I received my Will that I had ordered.. also enclosed was someone else Will.. not mine.. I phoned to see if they would like it returned to them...while I was talking to the man I asked why they were taking so long and that was the reply) Sorry Mo

Well, couldn't they just employ a few extra staff while it's busy?? or wait until they deal with the request before cashing the cheque - someone found the time to fill in the flippin' paying in slip I notice ! Humph & double humph !! 'patience is a virtue' - humph ! I've already been waiting 7 weeks since I posted the letter !!! Sarah :-l

Sarah I ordered a will in January at the end of and did'nt get it until the April.. It was away for around 10 weeks.. I know someone else sent for a will at the begginning of Feb and had it back in 2 weeks.. Its all swings and Roundabouts.. I hit on a busy period in January.. Patience is a Virtue.. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.. Mo

Oh so do I Mo !! I was hoping to have it to take back to England with me when I go next Tuesday.... I suppose there's still a bit of hope;;?! I sent them a fax yesterday - maybe they'll fish it out of whichever little wire tray it's festering in & send it in time.... fingers crossed & if one more person says 'patience is a virtue' I'll..... I'll..... I don't know what I'll do but it will probably break something.... Sarah :-) (getting less virtuous by the minute!)
