Joanne, you have to search the actual bmd index images on ancestry - not just the freebmd name search section. |

As Elaine said if any of the kids were born after 1911 the mums maiden name will be shown on the bmd index |

Many thanks, have spoken to family members who seem to think her name was Emily, so Emma Jane might be right - i have names of some of their children and some approximate years of birth, are there any records online anywhere which show the parents names, or would i have to buy a birth certificate? |

I am trying to find out who emmanuel beasley married in July-August-September of 1901 - I have found that he got married in barnsley but can't find out who he married - any tips on how to do this? |
