That double-event marriage... It could be the same marriage - but one is a record of the Banns, not the actual event? Did they come from different parishes? The marriage would (probably, not definitely) have been in the bride's parish - assuming that's an option! Christine

hi sarah, i would`t do that, any way they moved the borders of dorset and devon in the 1800 so you never no i could easerly have come from devon!! lol

hello elaine, i am a bit confused now! symonsbury and allington are close by and i had no idea there was to records for them, i found the symonsbury record on ancestry site. please tell me what does BIVRI stand for? also how do you excess this micro film that people appear to use for info, i was born in dorset so a bet fick at times i am affraid. sue

Don´t know whether you have seen this on the BIVRI - did they marry twice in the same day in different parishes ?? hit a brick wall please can any one help? i have a marrage at symonsbury dorset in 1795 of a richard prior to a jane hallett, i think he may have a younger brother issac but can not connect the two. i am unable to find any info on him before this, i have used the on line parish site and come up with nothing, i did find a mention some where that he may have been a smuggler but lost conection and for the life of me i can not find that ref again! please where else can i look on line, heres hoping some kind person can help. thanks sue
