i'm looking up births for a matthew emmerson 1857, chester le street . 10a 32? 1857 but i cant make out the last number could anyone help please hazel.

Not very clear, but by the tilt of the number it's an 8 not a 3. Compare it to others on the same image. The three is written more upright, the 8 tilts to the right. So, it will be 10a 328. If ordering a cert, best ask for a check first.

Hi, yes i agree it is at the same angle as you see the 8 sometimes but if you look at the other 8s he had a very different stroke with the pen on the right hand side of the number Bren
