Illustrated London News (a volunteer project in the making that the site owner reckons will take 20years to complete fully!) www.iln.org.uk I did actually have some luck here in at least finding out which issue an ancestors obituary appeared in via the site search engine, and the website owner did actually send me a scanned image of the page concerned in return for a small donation to the site. The project shows promise. |

If you are interested in Bath in the Jane Austen period Bath Georgian newspapers at Bath record office is fascinating. It covers about 1790-1810 at present but I think they are still adding information. |

Cambrian Newspaper 1804-1930 Covers mainly Swansea but has items for Llanelli; Carmarthen; Neath; Portcawl; bridgend also This is the link: http://www2.swansea.gov.uk/_info/cambrian/default.asp The Cambrian was puplished 1804 - 1930 and the index is searchable. Just put in the surname of your rellie in text box and the dates from Index: ALL Journal: Cambrian and it will show everything with that name in those dates TIP: If a common surname enter dates in 5 or 10 years at a time If you find something of interest in the indexes you can ask for a copy, I think it costs 50p + postage. I hope someone digs out something interesting Yvonne |
