Swapped a couple of pm's with Ann. She has found her grans marriage and death certs. The marriage cert shows her gran to be Agnes Olga Hoyle The death cert shows her as Olga Agnes Hoyle. Found the following birth ref which i think might be the one, Agnes O Hoyle (mmn Antscliffe) Sculcoates 9d 186 Q3 1918 The 1919 birth estimated from the age on the marriage cert. Anyone care to pass judgement on this ref. Glen

Just found the ref at the same time. The number will allow to buy the certificate. As well as her parents names it will show the date and place of birth. Glen

That's hardly coming to a standstill! Olga's parents names will be on her birth cert and her father's name will be on her marriage cert. I can't see Olga Hoyles birth reg in any of the quarters of 1919, but in the first quarter of 1920 there's 1920 Mar Hoyle, Olga M. mother's maiden name Whitelegg Registration district Bucklow vol 8a p.422

Hi Susan You can look at the BMD indexes free on Ancestry. Once you have found the reference for your grandmother's birth, you can order a copy of her birth certificate which will have her parents' names on. Mandy :)

If you buy her birth cert it will tell you her parents names and her mothers maiden name. Do you know how to find her birth reference? Glen

I have come to a standstill. My late Grandmother was born in 1919 in Yorkshire, her name was Angnes Olga Hoyle I am trying to find out her Parents names. Any help would be much appreciated.
