You can open a zip file with windowsXP and extract the information onto your computer. If it is a GEDCOM file you would then be able to import it into FTM or similar. Hope that helps Mark

Zip files are compressed, so they take up less room, but are unreadable. Gedcom is also unreadable - you need to import it into family tree software to read it. nell

I found a whole lot of stuff on a rellie been put on Ancestry it says you can download a full as a Zip File would I be able to open this to read it, or if not could I import into my family tree thanks
