Thanks Glen i know that he was about 60 when he died of a stroke, so wouldn't think she would of remarried but i wont rule it out. I am going to the cemetry on Monday so hopefully they may have some details they are really helpful there. Julie i went to look at Kellys directory to look for my mums brother but my son who is 1 really played up so didn't get on very well, trying to get a baby sitter who will play with him in the childrens area for a whie whilst i have another look. Got my gran thinking as well, but she's a little bit shady on the subject as it's not her son. Thanks Jen

For death details you need to look for Doris under WHITEHEAD. What you find on a gravestone depends on what the realtives chose to have on it, it could be full of information, or it may have only name and years of birth and death, there may not even be a gravestone. As you are talking of well into the twentieth century, it is possible they were cremared. Good luck, Jennifer

Most of the headstone inscriptions that i have looked at make mention of spouse and/or children. But are you certain that she did not remarry, assuming she outlived hubby that is. Glen

Hi i am trying to find death details. I know that John died around the 1959 period but nothing about Doris so would like to find her death. If i went to the cemetry and found a grave with either of their names on would it tell me if they left behind there wife/husband? Thanks Jen

Sorry to ask a silly question but do you expect any different from me LOL. I have a John Whitehead b.1900 he married a Doris Irvin in 1923. They moved to Boston Lincolnshire and i believe they both died in Boston. I am going to try and find them on here and then visit my local cemetry. My question is as they were married when i search on here i need to be looking for a Doris Whitehead don't i. Told you it was a silly question please don't laugh. Thanks Jen
