Glen In Tinsel Knickers Report 28 Jul 2006 19:41

Probably because they have all come from info shared via hot matches. I have the same with one line, makes you wonder how manyof those 58 are distinctly 'new' names and not repeated names from tree sharing. Come to think of it,how many of the 71 million or whatever todays figure is are distinct and separate names and how many are duplicates? Glen

No matter how many boxes I tick saying 'don't show me this again' I get umpteen hot matches for John Gray born in Australia. I have several John Grays in my tree but they were all born in Norfolk villages which I have put on my tree. Without a more refined system that can put place (or at least continent!) of birth and show it next to the hot match person, so you don't have to go to a separate screen each time) this is just a chance for me to delete a lot of messages again and again. nell

Mind you, this time round I did have a hot match which relates to a Cornish gt x4 grandpa, so fingers crossed.
