How do you do it? When I click on dlete individual, it says 'Can't delete person with more than one child or has both parents and children' But I can't delete either? Eh?

You have to start at the 'end' of any given line, and work backwards.........does that make sense? Reg

Paul Report 28 Jul 2006 16:29

Yes, it does make sense, but at the 'end' they have a partner, and I can't delete one, with the other being there still.

Have you tried deleting the 'partner'? If there are children, you'll have to delete them first................. Reg

No, i can't delete the partner, because their partner is there, and I cant delete them because their partner is there. Make sense? And I can't delete the children, because they have partners. And then then their parents are there. And then their parents are there. It's a never ending circle.

Prince It is at this point you work out Genes limitations for amending your tree :(( I will not be alone in recommending you have another tree 'offsite' on which you can do amendments, without problems, and then up upload the revised Gedcom to this site. Chris

Yep, I do have an offsite tree, but this one needs updating. And I can't seem to do that without uploading the whole lot, and there are some things I don't want to add to my GR tree.
