Of course the shoe box doesn't tie the peops up - until yesterday you could save a 1851 cencus to the same person's 1861 for example, now you will have poss. 7 census records and BDM's for each person! and you could put in the relationship, such as Great Grandmother or whatever this handy facility has now gone - I've only had Ancestry for 3 months - is it worth us complaining or do you 'old hands' know from old this is waste of time! Comments appreciated Gill

I've never used any of those helpful things on Ancestry! Obly because I couldn't be bothered to read about them when they started......Still have over 800 pages saved though, but on my hard drive and all linked to my home tree program...... I thought another thread suggested all the old features are still there? Merry

Yep anything put on up until yesterday morning, all in tact, thank God BUT any new findings and for peops. like me fairly new to this, any you want to save (and not to a tree on there) goes to Shoebox as an individual 'saving' shame as that was a very good way to tie up all the Henry's, Williams etc - I had been putting in shoe box until I confirmed something and then re-saving them under the My ancestry (now like our rellies deceased - as I said on another thread am planning to do same as you and save all to harddrive - didn't in first place as I often pop onto this at work so found the saving on Ancestery a godsend - oh well no doubt will get used to it......
