So the information is only as good as the person entering it thinks they need? Ah, well... at least it gives me some new places to start... cheers! Gordon |

Well 3 people have done trees which have my gt-grandmother on them, and supposedly her 2 marriages and her children BUT none of them have details for either wedding and the list of her children is incomplete. My grandmother was the youngest and born in a different place. The main document they have used is 1881 - no bp, marr or burial dates, so they haven't bothered with certs and haven't been to a record office either. I'm just cross that if they want to put it in the internet, they haven't attempted to get it right. Jay |

I have found my great-grandparents and several of their children on a rootsweb tree. All the data I have so far matches their's, though I'm still in the process of checking mine... but there are nearly 16,000 new names on the tree. How reliable does their data tend to be? Am I going to have to double check all of that? Gordon |
