Don't do what I've just done - looking for marriages for grandad's nephews and nieces, I start in 1943 ............... except it wasn't ............... it was 1843. I looked through 4 years before I realised and yes, I did think it was odd it was handwritten and not typed but I figured that must have been something to do with the war, lolol! So I start again! This time I go through 10 years of marriages without a single find and not surprising, because the total prat that I am is looking for marriages in the year these people were born!!!!! An hour and a half I've sat here doing this!! Going out to shoot myself now.

Haven't got a spare bullet have you? I've just wasted 2 hours filling in a spreadsheet (not family related) then closed it without saving it Grrrrrrr.

LOL!!! think it happens to us all, I spent a couple of hours looking for my gg grans death the other day, kept coming up blank til I finally twigged I was looking for her under her maiden name and not her married name......in the words of Homer Simpson DOH!!!! Fuzzy

You're not alone. I've done that several time, looked in years about 100 year out!. No doubt I'll do it again!
