I'm afraid I can't find her in the 1891 census. Kath. x |

when i looked i used the criteria FRED*/daughter /, born Yorkshire - its the surname that isn't playing ball- bound to be mistranscribed but nothing even like it. |

Thank you for having a look everyone. It's very much appreciated. The household with the mother called Fredericka is very interesting. I shall keep that in mind as I continue to research one of the two most elusive characters in my tree. Thanks again, John |

As you have the birth record, you could buy the certificate, which would confirm her parents names. Carole |

Hi Carole, I have a problem as the person I am actually looking for is called Freda Reinhardt. As far as I am aware she never married but had 2 children. I got Freda's name from the children's birth certs. I've had no luck finding any info on Freda herself and thought that maybe I have been looking for the wrong person and that Freda is possibly short for Fredericka. Hence the search for Fredericka now. I have one other connection to Freda and that is Sophie Braeseke (who was born in Germany). Sophie is Freda's aunt. I thought that I might have some luck with the census search for Fredericka, for example maybe Sophie or another Braeseke was staying in the household at the time. Just trying to get connections to Freda. I'm not too sure that actually getting the birth certificate for the Fredericka record I have will get me any further. I've been racking my brains for ages trying to sort this one out. Thanks for your help though. John |
