Hi Jennifer You don't know if there is a connection to the miltary for your g/f do you? Although slightly after WW2,a lot of the marriages at the time were for servicemen who were posted away from their hometowns. Short of getting the cert it's obviously difficult to say if this marriage is the one you need.If you were to order the cert have you a check point you could use?Perhaps the name of the father to the bride or groom? Hi Merry i have discovered a Ralph D Williams married a Lowe in A/M/J 1946 my grandad was called Ralph Donovan Williams what are the chances of this being the marriage. It was in Birmingham but thats only about 3 hours max drive from Boston. Is the next thing i need to do is look for a birth of Colin Williams around this time with the mothers maiden name being Lowe and then i will know if this is the marriage roughly. Thanks Jen
