I have just been looking for a John Roberts, input year, place, etc.on Ancestry. Dozens of them appeared, so I picked a couple that seem to be in the right time/area. I clicked on the 'view record', waited for it to load and there was every name but a John on the page......SO, I found another John Roberts, again date, place looked promising, clicked on 'view record', and guess what????? every name under the sun but not a John to be seen. Sitting at this computer waiting for the download of records is a time consuming, finger twiddling thing, but to find that the wrong page is shown$$££%%$$''***** Kathlyn

If you were searching on the Full BMD images (not the partial BMD index), you get the page that embraces the name you input. It doesn't mean there's someone with that exact name on the page. But then other people have been reporting that the indexing has been playing up, so it could be that. J
