Uttering meant issuing counterfeit money and was considered to be High Treason as it was a crime against against the Royal prerogative of minting money. Petty Treason was killing your Husband or other 'Superior' being. |

yes, great site grampa Jim! Heather, uttering = forgery From the national archives of Scotland index of legal terms: 'Forgery (also: Uttering forged writings) Forgery per se is not a crime. The crime is uttering, i.e. using as genuine a fabricated writing falsely intended to pass as genuine the writing of another person.' |

I checked out the executions site Jim, brilliant. I didnt expect my lot on there, they were all angels. Does anyone know what the crime of uttering was? Is it treason or something? |

Somehow I have managed to mess up my Desktop. It should have a Bar at the bottom with 'Start' at the left end. I currently have a Bar running down the right side of my Screen with 'Start' at the top. How can I return it to its proper place? |
